What is Angel Apparel?

“Angel Apparel” also known by angel gowns is a general term for burial gowns for stillborn, miscarried, and preemie babies. Angel Gowns may also be known as Angel Dresses, Angel Suits, Angel Pockets, and Angel Wraps.
Typically, Angel Dresses are given to female babies and Angel Suits are given to male babies. Angel Pockets or Angel Wraps are gender neutral for the special angels who are too small to fit into a gown, or who have skin that is very fragile. They are placed into the Angel Pocket or Angel Wrap that is tied around the baby so that they can have a dignified burial.
Analane’s Angel Apparel takes great care in creating burial gowns from wedding dresses that members of our community give us. Many of the gowns we receive are from families who are honoring a loved one or having a healing journey of their own.
The gowns are donated to hospital where the nurses are able to gift them to the individuals and families in need of them.
